MTool issue with injected code, unzipping install
-
Hi, English speaker here, so I've been having issues with the newest version of MTool. Only recently did it come up with the error about injecting code that doesn't let me start the games via MTool at all.
I'm also getting a prompt on the main page saying that 'I might be missing some RTP to play certain games. It unzips the file, then tries to install it and...error? I think? I'll include the screenshots of the errors/end of process text.
If this is in the wrong section, I apologize, I didn't see an option to post on the other parts of the forum.

I forgot to include that I downloaded a fresh copy of MTool to see if that helps; same results. It's on a Windows 11 HP laptop.

These are two separate issues. You can usually ignore the RTP issue.
The inject.exe issue is usually related to antivirus software, and it is recommended not to place MTool inside OneDrive.
In summary, move MTool elsewhere and then check your antivirus software.

Hmm...something odd is happening here. Despite appearances to the contrary, the directory is not OneDrive. It's my desktop...unless they count that is being part of OneDrive. It was all working fine on the desktop before this.
I have a separate external drive. I copied the files there and tried again. No luck. I went to Windows Security and...turned off what I could. See if that would help. Unfortunately, no.
When I do try to load it, I'm getting the same messages as before in the attached photos. The only difference with the external drive is no mention of OneDrive, but still doesn't work. I don't even have OneDrive active.

Here's the one specifically on the external drive error messages.

I apologize for the late reply. I set my profile to send an email for posts on topics I'm watching and I'm watching this topic...no email.
But yeah, that sounds like a good way to troubleshoot this. How would I go about that?

Solved. It was an Anti-Virus issue. Much appreciated
