问题描述 / Issue Description:
I want to ask it to see where I can change a certain parameters from the game
The AI assistant's reply to the user (automatic, may be wrong; the developers' replies take precedence):
This one isn't an MTool fault — it's about game content. The game running right now is Star Knightess Aura (RPG Maker MZ), it launched and connected normally, and the log shows no errors, so there's nothing broken to fix.
What MTool can do generically: while the game is running, open the "Var" page (the tab you're already on) to browse and edit the game's switches and variables. Switch to the data/inventory pages to change numbers such as money or item counts. You can also lock a value so it doesn't change back. But which variable or switch corresponds to the specific parameter you want to change is defined inside this game's own data/events, and that isn't something we can look up for you — it's game content, not an MTool function.
If you tell me what the parameter is (for example "how much gold the shop charges" or "the character's max HP"), I can explain which MTool page to use for that kind of value. Otherwise, the game's own guide or its player community (the game has a public wiki/community) is the best place to find out which value controls it.
If you actually ran into an MTool error — a crash, a black screen, text that won't translate — write it in the box below and send, and I'll look into it.
(After the user's follow-up, the AI replied:)
I understand the value you mean — the meta-progression "new game points" that carry over between endings. But I can't tell you which variable or switch holds it: that's decided inside this game's own data and scripts, and looking up a specific game's internal values is outside what I can do here.
What you can do yourself in MTool, all generic:
- With the game running, open the "Var" page. It lists the game's switches and variables.
- There is a search/filter box — you can search by value, so search for 70 and look at the candidates. Many things will equal 70, so:
- Change the number in game (spend a point so it becomes 69, then earn one back), refresh the list, and see which entry moved both times. That pinpoints it far better than guessing from names.
- Once you find it, you can edit the value directly there, or lock it so it stays.
Two cautions: the counter you're seeing on screen may be a display copy while the real stored value sits elsewhere, so a variable that doesn't move with it isn't necessarily the right one; and saving over a wrong variable can break progress, so back up the save first (MTool's automatic save backup is already on for this game).
If MTool itself misbehaves while you do this — the Var list won't load, an edit does nothing, the game crashes — write it in the box below and send, and I'll dig into that.
